The Partners of Cox Hallett Wilkinson (CHW) are pleased to announce that they have awarded three legal scholarships for 2007.
Kai Musson is the recipient of a $25,000 CHW Legal Scholarship Award. Kai graduated from Warwick Academy in 1996 and graduated from LiPo Chun UWC of Hong Kong in 1998, where he obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma. In 2003 he graduated with a BA (Hons) from the University of Toronto and in 2007 obtained an LLB (Hons) from SOAS (University of London). This Fall, Mr. Musson commenced his final year at The College of Law (in Bloomsbury, London).
The firm has awarded a $10,000 CHW Legal Scholarship Award to Cratonia Smith. Cratonia graduated from The Bermuda High School for Girls in 2005, where she obtained the International Baccalaureate Diploma. She is currently in her third year at the University of Kent where she is pursuing an LLB in Law.
Tiffany Faries is the recipient of a $5,000 CHW Legal Scholarship Award. Tiffany graduated from of Mount Saint Agnes Academy in 2003 and in 2006 she graduated with a BA from Brock University. Tiffany completed the first year of the University of Kent Legal Studies Programme at the Bermuda College where she was named Valedictorian of her graduating class. This Fall she moved off Island and began her second year at the University of Kent where she is pursuing an LLB in Law.
The CHW Scholarship Committee consisted of David G. Cooper, Craig Rothwell, Jonathan Betts and Alyson Tuxworth. The Committee were very impressed with the calibre of the students applying this year and were pleased to be able to recognise the achievements of the recipients and to assist them with their further studies.
The CHW Legal Scholarship is awarded annually. Its purpose is to provide financial support to Bermudian students with outstanding scholastic achievement who are proceeding towards a law degree or the bar or solicitor’s examinations so as to qualify the applicant for call to the Bermuda Bar.
