Cox Hallett Wilkinson (“CHW”) has advised Intelsat, Ltd., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, in relation to the acquisition of the ProtoStar 1 satellite.
Intelsat was selected as the successful bidder in the 29 October public auction for the ProtoStar 1 satellite with a $210 million, all cash offer.
The CHW team, led by Jonathan Betts, advised on the Bermuda law aspects of the acquisition. Jonathan commented “This is the first time that we have advised Intelsat here in Bermuda and we hope that we get the opportunity to do so again in the future”.
