Cox Hallett Wilkinson (“CHW”) has advised Miramonte Ltd., a Bermuda company, on the acquisition of 10 Airbus A319-114 passenger aircraft from Wells Fargo Bank
Northwest National Association.
The transaction was financed by PK AirFinance S.ar.l. (a unit of GE Commercial Finance), a leading provider and arranger of asset based financing of commercial jet aircraft acquisition financing.
The CHW team, comprising Ernest Morrison and Kerri Viera, advised on the corporate aspects of the acquisition and the related financing with DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary advising on the English law aspects of the transaction. Clifford Chance LLP and Conyers Dill & Pearman advised PK AirFinance.
Ernest Morrison commented “We are very pleased to have assisted Miramonte with this acquisition and the subsequent registration of aircraft on the Bermuda register. The register has a strong reputation internationally and this is evidenced by an increasing number of clients looking to take advantage of the benefits of registering here in Bermuda. These registrations will take the number of aircraft currently on the register close to 200.”.
