Cox Hallett Wilkinson ("CHW") has acted for the Bank of Scotland ("BoS") in relation to a refinancing of existing borrowing facilities provided to Melrose Resources plc ("Melrose"), an oil and gas exploration and production company, and its subsidiaries. The refinancing has resulted in Melrose’s senior secured borrowing facilities being increased to US$440 million.
The CHW team of Jonathan Betts and Ali Sanderson advised on the Bermuda aspects of the bank financing, including the provision of security by several Bermuda companies within the Melrose Resources group.
The UK legal advisers to BoS were Dundas & Wilson. Tods Murray advised Melrose Resources on the UK aspects of the financing with Conyers Dill & Pearman acting as Bermuda advisors.
