Cox Hallett Wilkinson (“CHW”) has advised Credit Suisse, Singapore Branch as sole bookrunner and joint lead arranger for a US$200 million financing for ProtoStar Ltd. (“ProtoStar”), the Asian satellite services provider. The financing was provided in order to complete the on-going development and launch of ProtoStar’s second satellite.
The CHW team of Jonathan Betts, Ernest Morrison, Natalie Town and Janice Gutteridge advised on the Bermuda law aspects of the financing. Linklaters advised Credit Suisse as to matters of English and New York law with Milbank and Appleby advising ProtoStar.
Jonathan commented “We are very happy to have advised Credit Suisse on this financing. Although CHW has worked alongside Linklaters on a number of transactions, this is the first time that we have assisted the Singapore team. We look forward to doing so again in the future”.
