CHW has been shortlisted by The Lawyer magazine, one of the UK's leading legal publications, in the category of "Offshore Law Firm of the Year " for the 2007 Lawyer Awards ceremony to take place at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 26 June.
The nomination of CHW and two other Bermuda firms, Conyers Dill & Pearman and Appleby Spurling Bailache, in the shortlist of six offshore firms for the 2007 award reflects the buoyancy of the Bermuda market over the last 12 months as well as demonstrating the strength in the global market of the leading players in Bermuda.
CHW is already recommended in a number of global law firm guides and earlier this year its corporate and dispute resolution teams were recognised in Chambers and Partners 2007 Global Guide to the World's leading lawyers for business as leading practices in Bermuda, with a number of its attorneys receiving individual accolades.
In response to the nomination, Lorren Wilson, Managing Partner of CHW commented:
"We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. The firm has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and we are pleased that this progress is being recognised in various legal rankings and with this recent nomination.
We aim to build on this reputation through the continued development of Bermudian attorneys within CHW and the recruitment of first-rate and experienced attorneys from overseas so that we can continue to provide our clients, both here in Bermuda and internationally, with the highest level of service."
